We are getting there!! How are you doing? Just keep on keeping on and you will get through this. Today’s challenge is to beat your personal record time. Whether it’s 1 minute, 3 minutes or 8 minutes, beat your time by at least 10 seconds (but aim for 30!)

I find that these assignments are more challenging than the 10 minute splits. What do you think? It’s like you get it in your head that you barely made your record time last time, so how could you possibly beat it THIS time? You put all this pressure on yourself and drive yourself nuts. So let’s just keep it simple. Yes, your assignment is to beat your time, but if it doesn’t happen, the world will not fall apart. So take the pressure off yourself.

Second, don’t stare at the timer. My advice is to hand it off. Get a magazine, book, iPad, WHATEVER and distract yourself with that.
